The XTRWELD WCS2/0B-500 is a 500-foot reel of 2/0 AWG welding cable rated at 600 volts, constructed with a rope-lay, bunch-stranded copper conductor and a low-smoke halogen-free (LSHF) EPDM jacket that resists abrasion in demanding shop and field environments. The black jacket holds up against oil, grease, and mechanical abuse common to welding operations. Rated for 400 amps at 50 feet, this cable carries the current loads required by heavy-duty welding equipment. It is SAE J1127 compliant and RoHS compliant. Manufactured in the USA, it is sold on a single reel with a minimum order quantity of 500 feet, making it suitable for stocking or job-specific cutting.
This cable is designed for use in stingers and whips, electrode leads, and ground clamp welding assemblies. It also serves battery applications including chargers and wire harnesses where flexible, high-current conductors are required. The rope-lay, bunch-stranded construction provides the flexibility needed for repeated coiling, dragging, and repositioning across welding stations, vehicle bays, fabrication shops, and industrial job sites. Typical installers include welding technicians, electrical contractors, and maintenance electricians working with welding systems or heavy battery-based equipment.
Designed for use in stingers and whips, electrode leads, ground clamp welding assemblies, battery chargers, and wire harnesses. SAE J1127 compliance covers sizes 6 AWG through 250 MCM in the XTRweld SELECT cable line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or welding technician familiar with applicable NEC requirements for welding cable applications. De-energize all connected equipment and disconnect battery systems before terminating or splicing. Use lugs and connectors rated for the conductor size and ampacity. Avoid sharp bends at terminations and protect cable runs from edge contact that could damage the jacket over time.
