The XTRWELD 13CT is a conductor tube designed for use with 135-amp MIG welding guns in the Tweco style. The conductor tube serves as the current-carrying neck assembly that guides the welding wire from the gun body to the contact tip, directing both the wire and shielding gas toward the weld zone. It accepts wire diameters from 0.023 to 0.045 inches, covering the most common mild steel, stainless, and flux-core wire sizes used in light industrial and fabrication work. Replacement of worn or damaged conductor tubes is a routine part of MIG gun maintenance and is performed by welding technicians and fabricators.
This conductor tube is suited for MIG welding applications in fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and light manufacturing environments. It fits 135A Tweco-style MIG guns commonly used for sheet metal work, structural tacking, and general-purpose wire feed welding. The 0.023 to 0.045 inch wire range makes it appropriate for both thin-gauge material work and moderate-thickness structural passes without requiring a gun change.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement conductor tube for 135-amp Tweco-style MIG welding guns accepting wire diameters from 0.023 to 0.045 inches.
Installation is performed by welding technicians or experienced fabricators. Before replacing the conductor tube, disconnect the MIG gun from the welder and ensure the wire feeder is powered down. Use the appropriate spanner or pin wrench to unseat the existing tube and thread in the replacement, taking care not to cross-thread the connection. Inspect the contact tip and liner condition any time the conductor tube is serviced.
