The WIREPATH WP-CAT78-RJ45-SHLD is a shielded RJ45 keystone jack designed for Cat8 structured cabling installations. It provides a field-termination point for high-frequency copper data runs, snapping into standard keystone wall plates, patch panels, and surface-mount boxes. The shielded construction supports EMI rejection critical in dense electrical environments. Low-voltage installers and data cabling technicians use this fitting to complete permanent link segments in both new construction and retrofit projects where high-bandwidth performance is required.
This keystone jack is suited for residential and light commercial structured wiring installations where Cat8 cabling is being deployed. Typical applications include home theater wiring closets, small office patch panels, and any horizontal run termination point requiring a shielded keystone-format connector. It accepts a single Cat8 cable and presents a standard RJ45 port on the face for patch cord connection.
Designed as an OEM-style field-termination solution for Cat8 shielded structured cabling systems using standard keystone mounting formats.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage technician familiar with TIA-568 cabling standards. De-energize any adjacent powered equipment before working inside enclosures or patch panels. A punch-down tool is typically required for IDC termination; follow the wiring diagram printed on the jack body and maintain pair twist as close to the termination point as possible to preserve signal integrity. Shielded jacks require a continuous shield ground path back to the patch panel or enclosure ground for proper EMI performance.
