The WIREPATH SP-124-DB-500-WH is a 12 AWG, 4-conductor speaker wire designed for permanent in-wall and structured wiring installations. Supplied in a pull-box format, this 500-foot run covers large residential and light commercial audio distribution runs without the need to splice or source additional footage. At 12 gauge, the wire delivers low-resistance signal transfer suitable for higher-power speaker loads and longer cable runs where thinner gauge wire would cause audible signal degradation. It is classified as non-plenum, making it appropriate for standard wall cavities and conduit runs that do not serve as air-handling spaces. Low-voltage installers, AV integrators, and custom electronics professionals are the primary trade installing this product.
This wire is suited for residential whole-home audio systems, home theater speaker runs, and light commercial background music installations. The 4-conductor configuration supports bi-wire speaker setups or allows a single cable run to serve two speakers in a zone-distribution layout. The in-box packaging keeps the wire tangle-free during pull-through installation. Non-plenum rating applies, so installations must be routed through standard stud bays, conduit, or raceways in non-air-handling spaces in accordance with local code requirements.
Designed as a general-purpose non-plenum speaker wire for residential and light commercial audio distribution systems requiring 12 AWG 4-conductor cable.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or qualified AV integrator in accordance with NEC Article 640 and applicable local codes. Confirm the installation environment is a non-air-handling space before routing, as this cable is not rated for plenum use. De-energize any connected amplifier or audio equipment before terminating conductors. Avoid sharp bends, staple over-compression, or routing in close parallel proximity to AC power wiring to prevent interference.
