Wirepath NST-164-500-WH 16/4 Audio Cable 500 Ft White

Product Description

The WIREPATH NST-164-500-WH is a 16 AWG, 4-conductor non-plenum audio cable supplied in white. This cable is designed for in-wall and low-voltage audio distribution runs in residential and light commercial applications. It carries speaker-level or line-level audio signals between amplifiers, speakers, and distribution equipment. The 500-foot quantity makes it practical for whole-home audio installations where multiple drops are pulled from a single reel. Installation is handled by low-voltage technicians and structured wiring contractors.

This cable is suited for non-plenum rated spaces such as stud bays, conduit runs in standard wall cavities, and accessible attic or crawlspace pathways. The 16 AWG conductor gauge supports longer audio runs with reduced resistance, which is important when wiring ceiling or in-wall speakers across larger floor plans. The white jacket color simplifies identification in multi-cable rough-in environments.

Key Features

• 16 AWG, 4-conductor configuration supports parallel or independent stereo audio circuits in a single cable run
• 500-foot reel length reduces splice points and suits multi-room audio rough-in work
• White jacket aids cable identification in structured wiring installations
• Non-plenum rated jacket suitable for standard stud-bay and conduit low-voltage routing
• Low-voltage construction compatible with residential audio distribution systems

Compatibility

Designed for use in non-plenum low-voltage audio wiring applications including in-wall speaker runs, whole-home audio distribution, and structured wiring systems in residential and light commercial construction.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage technician in accordance with NEC Article 725 and applicable local codes for Class 2 or Class 3 wiring. Verify the installation space is a non-plenum air-return pathway before routing this cable — plenum-rated cable is required in HVAC air-handling spaces. Disconnect and de-energize all source equipment before terminating conductors. Do not exceed the cable bend radius during pulls to avoid degrading conductor integrity.
