The WIREMOLD UL401BD is an 8-outlet power outlet strip designed for raceway-mount installation in commercial and industrial environments. Built from aluminum construction, it provides a durable, low-profile power distribution solution for workbenches, equipment panels, and wall-mounted raceway systems. The strip measures 48 inches in length with outlets spaced 5-1/4 inches apart, operating at 120 volts and 15 amps with a NEMA 5-15R configuration. A 15-foot cord gives installers adequate reach from the nearest circuit. The unit carries a cULus listing, confirming it meets recognized safety standards for use in the United States and Canada. Electricians and facilities maintenance professionals are the typical installers for this type of raceway-integrated power strip.
The UL401BD is suited for light commercial, institutional, and industrial applications where wall-mounted raceway systems are already in place. It integrates directly into Wiremold raceway infrastructure, making it a natural fit for classrooms, labs, production benches, and server or equipment rooms that require organized, accessible AC power outlets along a wall or workstation run. The gray aluminum body complements standard raceway finishes. With 8 individually accessible NEMA 5-15R outlets across 48 inches, the strip supports multiple pieces of equipment or tools without requiring additional adapters or multi-tap devices.
Designed for raceway-mount installation in compatible Wiremold surface raceway systems. NEMA 5-15R outlets accept standard NEMA 5-15P plugs common to most 120-volt equipment and tools.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the branch circuit at the panel before making any connections. Verify the branch circuit is rated at 15 amps minimum before connecting the strip. Do not exceed the 15-amp total load rating across all outlets.
