Product Description

The WINTERS INSTRUMENTS SSP525-90 is a 1/4-inch angle iron syphon designed to protect pressure gauges, diaphragm seals, and transmitters on steam service applications. By forming a water seal between the process steam and the measuring instrument, the syphon prevents hot steam from contacting the gauge internals, extending instrument service life and maintaining accurate readings. Available in brass and steel for non-corrosive service as well as stainless steel for corrosive environments, this fitting is a standard component in steam instrumentation piping. Installation is performed by licensed pipefitters or instrumentation technicians.

The SSP525-90 is suited for steam systems in industrial, commercial, and process plant environments where pressure instrumentation must be isolated from direct steam contact. The 90-degree angle configuration allows for convenient gauge orientation when the process connection is in a horizontal or vertical run. It is used upstream of pressure gauges, diaphragm seals, and pressure transmitters wherever live steam is present in the sensing line.

Installation Notes
