The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS JHWTS38750 is a salvage-style removal socket designed to extract damaged, rounded, or corroded nuts and bolts without hammering. The socket measures 1 13/32 inches in overall length and is sized for 3/4 inch fasteners on SAE applications. Its internal geometry grips the fastener more firmly as torque increases, making it effective on hex heads that have already lost their crisp corners. Mechanics, millwrights, and service technicians install this socket using a standard ratchet, breaker bar, T-handle, or air and electric impact wrench.
This socket is suited for general mechanical, automotive, and marine service work where fasteners have been rounded, corroded, or otherwise damaged. It works on standard nuts, bolts, studs, and pipe nipples. The design accommodates both metric and fractional fasteners as a best-fit option, giving technicians flexibility when dealing with mixed-hardware equipment in the field or in the shop.
Designed for use on standard SAE nuts and bolts as well as studs and pipe nipples. May also serve as a best-fit option on metric and fractional fasteners of comparable size.
A licensed mechanic or qualified technician should secure the workpiece and relieve any system pressure or stored energy before attempting fastener removal. Place the socket squarely over the damaged fastener before applying torque to ensure proper engagement. Standard hand tools or pneumatic impact equipment compatible with the drive size may be used. Follow applicable shop safety guidelines and equipment manufacturer service procedures throughout the repair.
