The WIKA 32040A004A4SF is a bimetal dial thermometer designed for temperature measurement in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial process applications. It operates across a range of 0 to 140 degrees F (-20 to 60 degrees C) and features an adjustable angle mount, allowing technicians to orient the dial for clear reading in tight or awkward installations. The stem is constructed from 18-8 stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance in wet or chemically active environments. With an accuracy rating of 1.0 percent, this thermometer suits field service and system commissioning work where reliable analog temperature indication is required. Installation requires no power source or signal wiring.
This thermometer is well suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, hydronic heating loops, domestic hot and cold water piping, and refrigeration equipment monitoring where insertion-style temperature sensing is needed. The adjustable angle mount makes it practical for installations where pipe orientation or panel placement would make a fixed-angle instrument difficult to read. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors are the primary installers of this type of instrument.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation bimetal dial thermometer for use with standard thermowells and direct-insertion fittings in HVAC, plumbing, and light industrial piping systems.
A licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or mechanical contractor should install this thermometer in accordance with applicable mechanical codes such as the IPC or IFGC as appropriate to the system. Shut off and depressurize the fluid system before drilling or tapping the pipe for direct insertion, or verify the thermowell is clean and clear before inserting the stem. Do not overtighten the fitting connection, as the stainless steel stem and housing can be damaged by excessive torque. Confirm the dial angle adjustment is locked before returning the system to service.
