The WIHA 32101 is a No. 1 Phillips insulated screwdriver built for electricians and other trades requiring VDE-rated hand tools in live-work environments. The 3-inch round shank is precision machined for an exact tip fit, reducing cam-out on fasteners. The blade is super hardened and tempered from Wiha CRM-72 tool steel for extended service life. The cushion-grip handle features insulation molded directly onto the body, eliminating the risk of the sleeve separating during use. Each tool is individually tested up to 10,000 volts, meeting VDE, ASTM, IEC, and OSHA requirements for insulated hand tools.
The WIHA 32101 is suited for residential and commercial electrical work where insulated tools are required by code or job-site safety protocols. It drives No. 1 Phillips fasteners commonly found in electrical panels, outlet boxes, switch boxes, fixture mounting hardware, and control enclosures. The compact 3-inch blade length makes it practical in tight spaces typical of panel and device work. Electricians working under NFPA 70E arc-flash and shock-hazard requirements will recognize this tool as meeting the insulated-tool standard for energized or potentially energized work.
Designed for use with No. 1 Phillips fasteners across electrical, HVAC, and light mechanical applications where an insulated screwdriver is required or preferred.
Insulated screwdrivers are installed and used by licensed electricians in accordance with NFPA 70E and applicable NEC requirements for work on energized or potentially energized equipment. Always verify the insulation sleeve is intact with no cracks, cuts, or punctures before each use in a live-work environment. Do not use this tool as a pry bar or apply side-loading force to the shank, as this can compromise insulation integrity. Inspect and replace any insulated tool that shows physical damage to the sleeve or handle.
