The WIDIA 6461925 is a right-hand indexable grooving and cutoff toolholder built for external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Designed in the WGCSMR160326C style, it accepts WG0300M03P02 inserts held by a clamp-style insert retention system. The toolholder supports a maximum depth of cut of 1.024 inches and a groove width range of 0.1180 to 0.1181 inches. Through-coolant capability directs fluid directly to the cutting zone, helping control heat and extend insert life during grooving, cutoff, turning, and facing operations. The shank measures 1 inch by 1 inch in cross-section with an overall length of 6 inches. The body is constructed from steel for rigidity under interrupted cuts and lateral forces common in grooving work.
This toolholder is suited for external grooving, parting, and facing applications on a wide range of workpiece materials, including steel, stainless, aluminum, and cast iron, consistent with its universal workpiece material rating. It is commonly used in production turning environments where repeatable groove geometry and consistent depth of cut are required. Licensed machinists and CNC setup technicians are the primary installers. The WGC series toolholder is a standard fit for shops running high-volume turning operations that demand reliable insert indexing and coolant delivery.
Compatible with WG0300M03P02 inserts. Designed for use within the WGC series toolholder system with insert size code 0300 and an insert seat size of 3.0.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the tool block torque specification listed in the machine tool manual before operation. Connect the through-coolant line according to the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and verify flow before beginning a cut.
