The parallelogram-shaped insert has a positive rake geometry with an 11-degree relief angle and a 45-degree included angle, producing two usable cutting edges per insert. It is installed by licensed machinists and toolroom technicians using clamp or pin holding methods on compatible indexable toolholders.

This insert is suited for profiling and turning applications on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, and N.
