J.C. Whitlam IG8 is an industrial-grade pipe thread compound supplied in an 8-ounce brush-top can. The paste formulation contains ethylene glycol butyl ether and isopropyl alcohol, is lead-free, and is designed for sealing and lubricating threaded connections on plastic and metal pipes. It is rated for -50 to 400 °F and for 3000 PSI gas / 6000 PSI liquid, and meets applicable industry standards for plumbing and food/water systems.

• Formulation: 12–17% ethylene glycol butyl ether; 1–6% isopropyl alcohol; specific gravity 1.41; mild odor
