Wesanco UX3834 Cush-a-therm Pipe Support 3/8 X 3/4

Product Description

The WESANCO UX3834 is a Cush-A-Therm pipe support designed to cushion and isolate piping from metal hangers and structural supports. This type of support reduces vibration transmission, prevents abrasion at the contact point, and provides thermal break characteristics between the pipe and the hanger assembly. It is sized for a 3/8 x 3/4 application, making it suited for smaller-diameter piping runs found in HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems. Installation is typically performed by mechanical contractors, plumbers, or HVAC technicians during rough-in or retrofit work.

This pipe support is used in residential and light commercial installations where piping must be isolated from direct metal-to-metal contact with hangers or strut. The 3/8 x 3/4 size designation fits standard small-bore pipe or tubing configurations. It is well suited for copper, steel, or plastic piping in hydronic, refrigerant, or domestic water applications where vibration control and pipe protection are required at hanger points.

Key Features

• Cush-A-Therm design provides cushioning and thermal isolation at hanger contact points
• Reduces vibration transmission from piping to building structure
• Protects pipe surface from abrasion caused by direct metal contact
• Size designation 3/8 x 3/4 fits standard small-bore piping configurations
• Sold as a single unit for flexible quantity ordering

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit pipe support for small-bore piping in residential and light commercial mechanical systems.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or HVAC mechanics as part of pipe hanger assemblies. Shut off system pressure and drain or isolate the line before modifying existing hanger points. Position the support so the cushion fully contacts the pipe circumference to ensure even load distribution and effective vibration isolation. Follow applicable IPC and IFGC hanger spacing requirements for the pipe material and diameter being supported.
