The WELDAS 44-3006 is an aluminized hand shield designed to protect welders from intense radiant heat during high-spatter welding operations. The outer aluminized layer reflects up to 95 percent of radiant heat, extending the working life of welding gloves worn underneath and improving comfort during prolonged use. A fiberglass interlayer handles high-spatter environments, while a split cowhide underlayer provides additional heat insulation against direct contact. Double Kevlar stitching throughout the seams reinforces durability under repeated thermal stress. Measuring 7 inches by 8 inches, this shield fits most hand sizes and is installed by welders and fabricators in industrial and manufacturing settings.
The 44-3006 hand shield is suited for arc welding, MIG, and high-spatter welding applications where radiant heat protection beyond standard gloves is required. The unique leather and elastic strap design delivers a secure, adjustable fit that minimizes strap burnout over time. One size fits all, making it a practical addition to a shared tool crib or job-site welding kit. It is worn over standard welding gloves to add a protective layer without significantly restricting hand movement.
Designed as an over-glove hand shield for use during arc, MIG, and high-spatter welding operations where supplemental radiant heat protection is required.
This hand shield is donned over standard welding gloves before beginning welding operations. Ensure the elastic and leather strap is properly secured to prevent the shield from shifting during use. Inspect the aluminized surface and stitching before each use and retire the shield if the reflective layer shows significant separation or stitching is visibly compromised. No tools are required for fitting.
