The WEILER 85995 is a 4-inch silicon carbide disc brush rated at 80 grit and graded medium, designed for surface conditioning, deburring, and blending on a range of materials including metal, composites, and masonry. The brush uses rectangular-shaped silicon carbide filaments bonded to a disc form and connects via a plain hole arbor mount. At a maximum operating speed of 2500 RPM, it delivers consistent, controlled abrasion suited to angle grinders and bench-mounted applications. The gray filaments provide visual wear feedback during use. This brush is typically installed and operated by metalworking tradespeople, fabricators, and maintenance technicians.
The WEILER 85995 is suited for light to medium stock removal and surface prep work on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, ceramics, and hard plastics. The 4-inch diameter fits standard angle grinders and small bench grinders equipped with a 7/8-inch arbor. The 1-1/2-inch trim length provides flex during contact, reducing gouging while maintaining consistent abrasive pressure. It is commonly used in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and field service applications where a controlled, medium-grade finish is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit disc brush for angle grinders and bench grinders accepting a 7/8-inch arbor hole and a 4-inch disc format.
Installation is performed by the operator or a qualified technician familiar with abrasive tool safety. Always power down and disconnect the grinder before mounting or removing the disc brush. Confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 2500 RPM maximum rating before operation. Wear appropriate eye and face protection in accordance with ANSI abrasive safety standards during use.
