The WEILER 58215 is a Type 27 depressed-center cutoff wheel designed for use with angle grinders in metal cutting applications. It measures 4-1/2 inches in diameter and 1/8 inches thick, with a 7/8-inch arbor hole. The abrasive material is aluminum oxide, reinforced with a resinoid bond at hardness code T, and the wheel carries a 30-grit rating. It is rated to a maximum of 13,300 RPM. The Type 27 profile provides a slight dish that positions the cutting edge closer to the workpiece surface, making it well suited for flush and off-angle cuts in production and service environments.
This cutoff wheel is intended for use on ferrous metals and general fabrication work in residential and commercial trade settings. Angle grinder operators in welding, HVAC installation, plumbing rough-in, and general mechanical service will find the 4-1/2-inch format compatible with the most common compact angle grinders in field use. The ALU30T specification designation indicates an aluminum oxide grain, 30 grit, T-grade bond formulation tuned for controlled material removal on harder stock.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cutoff wheel for use with 4-1/2-inch angle grinders accepting a 7/8-inch arbor.
Installation and wheel changes must be performed by qualified personnel following the grinder manufacturer's guard and flange requirements. Disconnect the grinder from power before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never exceed the marked maximum RPM. Eye protection, gloves, and appropriate face shielding are required when operating abrasive cutoff wheels.
