The WEILER 34123 is a flexible cylinder hone designed for light deburring, surface finishing, and bore conditioning in small-diameter cylindrical applications. Built with silicon carbide abrasive at 120 grit coarse grade, it is suited for work on steel bores up to 1/4 inch in diameter. The abrasive length measures 1.575 inches, and the tool runs at a maximum of 1000 RPM. At an overall length of 7.875 inches with a shank diameter of 0.098 inches, the 34123 mounts easily in a standard drill press or hand drill. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and mechanical trades professionals use this type of hone to restore or condition bore surfaces without aggressive material removal.
This hone is suited for small-bore finishing work in steel components where surface texture and bore geometry require light refinement. Typical applications include valve bodies, hydraulic cylinders, small engine cylinders, and precision bore work in maintenance and repair operations. The coarse grade silicon carbide construction makes it effective on hardened steel surfaces where consistent abrasive action across the bore wall is needed.
Designed for use on steel bores up to 1/4 inch in diameter. Consult WEILER application data to confirm suitability for specific bore materials or geometries beyond standard steel stock.
This tool is installed in a standard drill press, hand drill, or flexible shaft tool by a machinist or qualified mechanical trades professional. Secure the shank firmly in the chuck before operation and confirm the spindle speed does not exceed 1000 RPM. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow shop safety procedures when operating rotary abrasive tools. Inspect the abrasive stones for wear or damage before each use and do not force the hone into a bore smaller than the specified minimum diameter.
