The WD-40 COMPANY 120015 is a fast-acting 3-in-1 penetrant in a 4 oz drip-application bottle. It is formulated to break the bonds holding rusted, seized, or corroded fasteners and components together, then leave a protective film that resists future rust formation. Technicians across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical trades reach for this type of penetrant when dealing with corroded pipe fittings, rusted bolts, seized electrical conduit connectors, and stuck mechanical linkages. The drip-tip applicator allows targeted delivery to tight fastener heads and threaded joints without overspray.
This penetrant is suited for use in both residential and light commercial service environments. Common applications include loosening corroded union fittings, freeing rusted sheet-metal screws on equipment panels, releasing seized electrical knockout hardware, and freeing corroded pump impeller shafts. The 4 oz size is well suited for field service kits and service van stock. It is sold in cases of 12 units, making it practical for shop stocking or fleet restocking.
Designed for general-purpose use on metal fasteners, fittings, threaded connections, and mechanical components subject to rust and corrosion across trade service applications.
Applied by service technicians as a pre-service step when loosening corroded or seized hardware. Allow adequate dwell time for the penetrant to wick fully into threaded interfaces before applying torque. Keep away from open flames and ignition sources during application, as penetrant solutions are typically flammable. Avoid contact with rubber seals, gaskets, or non-metallic components unless compatibility has been confirmed.
