The WAYNE WATER SYSTEMS SEL50 is a thermoplastic submersible sewage pump rated at 1/2 HP and designed for residential and light-commercial sewage ejection applications. It delivers a maximum flow rate of 7,800 gallons per hour and maintains 6,420 GPH at 10 feet of discharge lift. The pump features a combination 2-inch to 3-inch NPT discharge port and is capable of handling solids up to 2 inches in diameter. A piggyback tether float switch enables both automatic and manual operation. Licensed plumbers install this pump in below-grade sewage ejector pits as part of gravity-drain or lift-station systems.
The SEL50 is suited for residential sewage ejector systems where toilets, laundry fixtures, or other below-grade drains must pump effluent up to a gravity sewer line. The combination NPT discharge fitting accommodates existing 2-inch or 3-inch discharge piping, allowing installation in most ejector pits without plumbing modifications. The piggyback float switch allows the installer to run the pump manually during commissioning or testing by bypassing the float, then returning to automatic operation without rewiring.
Designed as a replacement-style submersible sewage pump compatible with most residential sewage ejector pit installations using 2-inch or 3-inch NPT discharge piping, without requiring plumbing modifications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Disconnect and lock out electrical power before lowering the pump into the ejector pit or servicing any components. Verify the discharge check valve is in good condition before commissioning. The piggyback float plug should be connected to the outlet before the pump plug to preserve automatic operation.
