The WAYNE WATER SYSTEMS RPP50 is a 1/2 HP cast iron submersible sewage ejector pump built for residential and light commercial sewage handling applications. It moves up to 6,200 gallons per hour at 0 feet of head, making it well suited for high-demand ejector pit installations. The pump includes a piggyback tether float switch that allows both automatic and manual operation without rewiring. A 2-inch discharge port handles solids up to 2 inches in diameter. Lower ball bearings reduce operating noise during continuous or intermittent cycling.
The RPP50 is designed for sewage ejector systems where below-grade fixtures — basement bathrooms, laundry rooms, or utility sinks — drain into a sealed pit and must be pumped up to the main sewer line. The piggyback plug configuration allows the float switch to be bypassed for manual testing without removing the pump from service. An integrated carry ring simplifies pump removal and reinstallation during routine maintenance or pit cleaning. Installation does not require plumbing modifications beyond the existing 2-inch discharge connection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install sewage ejector pump for residential and light commercial ejector pit systems with a 2-inch discharge connection.
Installation and servicing of sewage ejector pumps should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Disconnect power at the breaker before lowering or removing the pump from the pit, and ensure the pit cover is sealed after installation to contain gases. Verify the discharge check valve and vent line are properly installed before returning the system to service.
