The WATTS lfmm432-1 is a master mixing valve designed to blend hot and cold water supplies to a stable, user-set outlet temperature. Part of the LFMM430 series, it features a brass body with a rough bronze finish and NPT end connections in a 3/4 x 1 inch nominal size. Rated for working pressures up to 125 psi and a temperature range of 90 to 180 degrees F, this valve is built for demanding domestic hot water tempering applications. Licensed plumbers install it at water heater outlets or central mixing points to protect building occupants from scald hazards while meeting code-required delivery temperatures.
The lfmm432-1 is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems where a central point-of-source mixing solution is required. Typical installations include the outlet of storage-style water heaters, booster heater systems, and central hot water distribution risers. Its 4 GPM flow rate and standard NPT connections make it a direct-fit solution for most conventional domestic water systems requiring thermostatic mixing control.
Designed as an OEM-style thermostatic master mixing valve for domestic hot water systems requiring point-of-source temperature control at storage water heaters or central distribution points.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and ASSE 1017 requirements where applicable. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before beginning any connections. Use thread sealant rated for potable water service on all NPT joints. After installation, verify outlet temperature with a calibrated thermometer before returning the system to service.
