The WALTER-TITEX 6712939 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built to DIN 6535HA specification, this bit features a 140-degree Alpha 2 Plus Micro point and an AlCrN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 3.00 mm in diameter, and the overall length is 74.00 mm. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 8xD and a maximum drilling depth of 20.00 mm, the 6712939 is suited for precise, controlled hole-making in tight-tolerance work. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
This drill bit is built for blind hole drilling, stack drilling, and through-hole drilling across a range of workpiece materials. Primary materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Secondary workpiece materials include cobalt, glass, graphite, iron alloys, nickel, titanium, and titanium alloys. The right-hand spiral flute geometry and web-thinned tapered web construction promote clean chip evacuation and reduced thrust force at small diameters. It fits machining centers, CNC drilling operations, and manual drill presses that accept a straight-cylindrical shank in the 3.00 mm diameter range.
Designed for use in machining centers and CNC drill setups accepting a 3.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank per DIN 6535HA. Compatible with cast iron, non-ferrous metal, and steel as primary workpiece materials, and with cobalt, glass, graphite, iron alloy, nickel, titanium, and titanium alloy as secondary workpiece materials. Series A6478TML.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine powered down and locked out before handling. Ensure the tool holder collet or chuck is clean and free of debris before seating the straight-cylindrical shank. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material before initiating a cut. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; external coolant or mist lubrication should be used as required by the workpiece material and depth of cut.
