The WALTER-TITEX 5834846 is a solid carbide taper length drill bit in the A6589DPP series, designed for precision drilling in demanding production and machining environments. Built from K30F-grade solid carbide with a Double Point coating, it delivers a 140-degree point angle and an X-treme D point type for aggressive chip evacuation and accurate hole entry. The 9 mm diameter bit features a spiral flute configuration with a 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio, a 138 mm flute length, and a 180 mm overall length. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed drilling in difficult-to-machine materials. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace component production, and precision manufacturing will find this bit suited for sustained, high-feed drilling cycles.
The 5834846 is built for applications that demand hole quality across variable entry conditions. Tool application coverage includes blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole, stack drilling, and through hole drilling. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust force and improves centering on uneven or angled surfaces. The parallel shank with a 10 mm shank diameter and 40 mm shank length conforms to DIN 6535 HA, making it compatible with standard ER and hydraulic collet systems used on CNC machining centers and drill presses. Maximum drilling depth is 123 mm.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped with DIN 6535 HA-compatible ER collets or hydraulic toolholders accepting a 10 mm parallel shank. Suitable for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole, stack drilling, and through hole drilling applications in the A6589DPP series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down the machine and release spindle pressure before loading or removing the bit. Seat the parallel shank fully into a clean, DIN 6535 HA-compliant collet or toolholder and verify runout before beginning a drilling cycle. Confirm that the coolant-through circuit is active and delivering adequate flow before initiating high-feed or deep-hole passes.
