The WALTER-TITEX 5834836 is a solid carbide taper length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and metalworking applications. Built to Series A6589DPP specifications, it features a 140-degree X-treme D point geometry with web thinning for accurate positioning and reduced thrust force. The bit measures 7/16 inches (0.4375 inches) in diameter with a flute length of 6.22 inches and an overall length of 8.25 inches. Internal coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat management during deep-hole operations. Material grade K30F solid carbide provides hardness and wear resistance suited to ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. This bit is intended for installation and use by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC and manual drilling setups.
This drill bit is suited for a wide range of hole configurations including blind holes, cross holes, inclined holes, stack drilling, and through-hole drilling. The right-hand spiral flute with a 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports consistent chip flow in deep-hole applications. The parallel shank with a 0.4724-inch shank diameter conforms to DIN 6535 HA standards, making it compatible with standard ER collet chucks and hydraulic toolholders used in production machining environments. Maximum drilling depth is 5.51 inches (140 mm).
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use taper length drill bit for CNC machining centers and manual drill presses accepting a parallel shank conforming to DIN 6535 HA with a 0.4724-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and undamaged before seating the shank. Verify coolant-through supply pressure and flow rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and drilling depth before engaging the cut. Follow the tooling manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material grade.
