The WALTER-TITEX 5200214 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-precision drilling in demanding industrial applications. Built to a 4.50 mm diameter with a 150-degree Form V+A point, this bit delivers aggressive cutting geometry suited for hard and abrasive materials. The 74 mm overall length and web-thinned, tapered-web construction reduce entry resistance and improve chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability supports consistent performance at elevated feed rates and extended tool life in production environments. This bit meets DIN and ISO standards under specification DIN 6535HA and carries a K30F carbide material grade.
This drill bit is engineered for use in CNC machining centers, screw machines, and production drilling equipment where tight tolerances and repeatable results are required. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, hard materials, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and steel, making this a versatile option across general metalworking and precision machining shops. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 6 mm in diameter and 36 mm in length, providing secure chuck retention. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flutes support controlled chip flow in through-coolant setups.
The 5200214 belongs to the WALTER-TITEX A6181TFT series and is sized within the 3.50 mm to 5.00 mm drill bit diameter range. Designed as an OEM-specification solid carbide screw machine drill for use in standard straight-shank toolholders and collet chucks accepting a 6 mm shank diameter.
Installation is performed by machining professionals using standard drill chucks or collet systems rated for the 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Confirm coolant lines are clear and coolant-through pressure is within the machine spindle specification before use. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling. Do not use this bit in handheld or non-rigid setups, as solid carbide is brittle and susceptible to breakage under lateral loading.
