The WALTER-TITEX 5071901 is a solid cobalt steel chucking reamer designed to finish-ream precision holes to h7 tolerance in metalworking applications. At 6.40mm (0.2520 inches) in diameter with a 101.00mm overall length and a 28.00mm flute length, this reamer delivers accurate bore finishing in a compact, rigid package. Six spiral flutes with left-hand spiral geometry channel chips effectively while the right-hand cutting direction keeps the tool tracking true under feed. The straight-cylindrical shank seats cleanly in standard drill chucks or collet holders, making it a dependable choice for machinist and toolroom use.
This chucking reamer is suited for finishing operations on through-holes and blind holes in steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials on manual mills, drill presses, and CNC machining centers. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for general-purpose reaming where coolant-through capability is not required. It fits production and repair applications where close-tolerance hole finishing is needed, including fixture work, bearing fits, and dowel-pin bores. Sold individually, it is a direct bench-stock replacement for worn or damaged reamers of the same diameter class.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement chucking reamer for metalworking setups requiring a 6.40mm diameter, straight-cylindrical shank reamer with h7 tolerance. Fits standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting the straight-cylindrical shank diameter.
Installation and use of this reamer is performed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on milling machines, drill presses, or CNC machining centers. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling per applicable machine safety procedures. Seat the shank fully and uniformly in the chuck or collet before tightening to prevent runout. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material; do not run dry on hardened or abrasive materials.
