The WALTER-TITEX 5062943 is a cobalt micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN 1899 standards, it carries a 1.45 mm diameter with a straight-cylindrical shank of 1.50 mm and an overall length of 25.00 mm. The 118-degree standard point with web-thinned, tapered web geometry reduces entry force and improves centering accuracy. The bright, uncoated cobalt construction delivers heat resistance and edge retention without a surface coating that could affect tolerance in tight-clearance bores. Spiral fluting handles chip evacuation efficiently in short, confined cuts. This bit is intended for use by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and precision fabricators working with micro-diameter holes.
The 5062943 is rated for blind hole, through hole, and stack drilling applications. Its primary workpiece materials are titanium alloys, with secondary suitability for glass and graphite. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 7.00 mm maximum drilling depth make it well-suited for shallow, precision bores in aerospace, medical, and specialty fabrication work where dimensional control and material integrity are critical. Right-hand cut orientation is standard for conventional CNC and manual drill press setups.
Designed for use in blind hole, stack drilling, and through hole drilling operations on titanium alloy workpieces, with secondary application on glass and graphite. Fits standard straight-shank collets and chucks accepting a 1.50 mm shank diameter. Part of WALTER-TITEX Series A3143.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Secure the shank in a precision collet or drill chuck rated for 1.50 mm straight-cylindrical shanks before operation. Verify spindle runout is within tolerance before use, as micro drill bits are sensitive to radial error. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; use external coolant or dry cutting practice appropriate for the workpiece material.
