The WALTER-TITEX 5062921 is a cobalt micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding materials. With a 0.87 mm diameter (0.0343 decimal inch), a 118-degree standard point angle, and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration, this bit delivers controlled entry and reduced thrust in small-diameter applications. The bright/uncoated cobalt construction resists heat buildup when drilling hard alloys. Overall length is 25 mm, flute length is 6 mm, and maximum drilling depth is 4.5 mm. It conforms to DIN 1899 standards and belongs to Series A3143. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers of this type of tooling.
This micro drill bit is designed for blind hole, stack drilling, and through-hole drilling operations. Its primary workpiece material is titanium alloy, with secondary suitability for glass and graphite. The 1.50 mm straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard collet chucks and micro drill chucks. The spiral flute geometry, with a 5xD flute-by-diameter ratio and right-hand cut, clears chips efficiently in tight-tolerance holes. This bit is suited for precision manufacturing, aerospace component fabrication, and any application requiring consistent sub-1 mm hole geometry.
Rated for primary use in titanium alloy workpieces and secondary use in glass and graphite. Material codes K, N, P, and S cover the primary material group; M and O cover secondary materials per standard material classification. Designed for use in any CNC machining center, drill press, or precision hand tool accepting a 1.50 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
This tooling should be installed and operated by qualified machinists or tooling professionals familiar with micro-diameter drill bit handling. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully in a properly sized collet to prevent runout, which is especially critical at sub-1 mm diameters. Do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 4.5 mm, and use appropriate cutting speeds and feeds for the workpiece material per the manufacturer tooling data.
