The WALTER-TITEX 5062920 is a cobalt micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding materials including titanium alloys, glass, and graphite. Built to DIN 1899 standards, it features a 0.86 mm diameter, a 118-degree standard point angle, and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves centering at entry. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1.50 mm in diameter, and the overall length is 25.00 mm. The bright/uncoated cobalt construction provides good heat resistance without a coating layer, making it well suited for short-run precision work where regrinding or close inspection of the cutting edge is routine.
This bit is sized for micro-drilling applications found in aerospace component machining, electronics fabrication, and precision metalworking shops. It supports blind hole, stack drilling, and through hole drilling operations. The spiral flute with a 5xD flute-by-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 4.50 mm makes it appropriate for shallow, tight-tolerance holes in thin-section titanium alloy workpieces. Secondary workpiece materials include glass and graphite, extending its usefulness to composite and specialty substrate applications. A right-hand cut direction is standard. This bit is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units per order.
Primary workpiece materials are titanium alloy and materials coded K, N, P, and S per the input specification. Secondary workpiece materials include glass and graphite. Designed as a DIN 1899 Series A3143 micro drill bit for use in precision machining centers, CNC drill presses, and manual micro-drilling fixtures equipped to hold a 1.50 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
This bit is installed and serviced by machinists and precision tooling technicians. Always confirm the machine spindle and chuck are fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Verify chuck collet or drill chuck clearance is appropriate for a 1.50 mm shank before tightening. At 0.86 mm diameter, excessive side load or misalignment will cause bit breakage; confirm workpiece fixturing and spindle runout are within tolerance before drilling.
