The WALTER-TITEX 5062858 is a cobalt micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding materials. Built from M35 cobalt high-speed steel, it carries a wire gauge size of 88, which corresponds to a decimal diameter of 0.0094 inches. The drill features a 118-degree standard point angle, a web-thinned tapered web for reduced entry force, and a spiral regular flute for efficient chip evacuation. Overall length is 25 mm with a 1.50 mm flute length and a maximum drilling depth of 1.10 mm. It conforms to DIN 1899 standards. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die technicians are the primary installers of this tooling in production and maintenance environments.
This micro drill bit is suited for blind hole, through hole, and stack drilling operations. Its primary workpiece material rating covers titanium alloys as well as cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Secondary workpiece material capability includes glass and graphite. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 1.00 mm shank diameter seats in standard precision collets and micro drill chucks. The bright uncoated finish makes it appropriate where coating contamination of the workpiece or coolant-free dry drilling is required. It is sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use in precision drilling operations on titanium alloys, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, glass, and graphite workpieces. Fits any micro drill chuck or collet accepting a 1.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Part of WALTER-TITEX Series A3143.
Installation and use of this tooling should be performed by qualified machinists or tool-and-die personnel familiar with micro-drilling procedures. Before mounting, confirm that the machine spindle and collet or chuck are clean, undamaged, and rated for the shank diameter. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 1.10 mm in a single pass without retracting to clear chips. At this diameter range, feed rate and spindle speed selection are critical — consult the machine tool manufacturer and WALTER-TITEX cutting data tables for the specific workpiece material before operation.
