The WALTER-TITEX 5062854 is a cobalt M35 micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN 1899 standards, it carries a wire gauge size of 92, which corresponds to a decimal diameter of 0.0079 inches (0.20 mm). The 118-degree standard point angle and web-thinned, tapered web configuration allow clean entry with reduced thrust force. The spiral flute design evacuates chips efficiently through a full 25 mm overall length. With a bright, uncoated finish and a 1.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this bit is suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision hand tools used by machinists and tooling specialists working in tight-tolerance applications.
This micro drill bit is designed for blind hole, through hole, and stack drilling operations. Its M35 cobalt construction makes it well suited for titanium alloys and other high-strength aerospace and industrial workpiece materials. Secondary applications include drilling glass and graphite where precise diameter control and a stable flute geometry are critical. The flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD and a maximum drilling depth of 1.10 mm support controlled penetration in thin-section and layered material setups. Machinists in aerospace, medical device, and precision manufacturing environments are the primary users.
Designed as a Series A3143 OEM-style micro drill for use in standard straight-shank collet chucks, precision drill chucks, and CNC tool holders accepting a 1.00 mm shank diameter. Rated for titanium alloy, glass, and graphite workpiece materials per manufacturer specifications.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Secure the 1.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank in a precision collet or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter before beginning any operation. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits, as excessive runout at micro diameters can cause immediate tool breakage. No coolant-through feature is present on this bit; apply cutting fluid externally or use a suitable mist system appropriate to the workpiece material.
