The WALTER-TITEX 5062541 is a high-speed steel (HSS) extra length drill bit designed for deep-hole and blind-hole drilling in demanding production and machining environments. With a 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) diameter and an overall length of 6-3/32 inches, it provides extended reach where standard-length bits fall short. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation over the 4-1/8 inch flute length, and the web-thinned, tapered web design reduces cutting resistance at the drill tip. The 130-degree point angle is well-suited for work in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. This bit is aimed at machinists, toolmakers, and trade professionals who need reliable performance in tight tolerances.
This bit is built for production drilling applications including blind-hole drilling and stack drilling operations. Its parabolic flute and 16xD flute-to-diameter ratio make it appropriate for deep-bore work where chip evacuation and hole straightness are critical. Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with drilling feeds, speeds, and chip management for the target workpiece material. Ensure the workpiece is properly fixtured and the drill is secured firmly in the chuck or collet before operation. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 3.898 inches without retracting to clear chips, as the parabolic flute geometry requires adequate chip evacuation to prevent bit deflection or breakage.
