The WALTER-TITEX 5062516 is a wire-gauge extra length drill bit designed for deep-hole and stack drilling applications in production and maintenance environments. Built from M2 high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this bit carries a 130-degree point angle and a parabolic flute geometry that improves chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during extended cuts. At 0.1495 inches in diameter (wire size 25) with an overall length of 6.875 inches and a flute length of 4.75 inches, it reaches depths that standard-length jobber drills cannot. A web-thinned, tapered-web design reduces thrust force at the cutting edge. This bit is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals.
This drill bit is suited for blind-hole drilling and stack drilling operations on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel, as well as secondary materials including cobalt alloys, iron, nickel, and titanium alloy. The Series A1622 designation places it within WALTER-TITEX high-performance tooling, meeting ANSI, DIN 1869-I, and ISO standards. The straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks and collet systems without modification, making it compatible with benchtop drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld power tools where chuck capacity allows.
Designed for use in blind-hole and stack drilling operations on cast iron, non-ferrous metal, and steel workpieces, as well as secondary materials including cobalt, iron, nickel, and titanium alloy. Compatible with any standard drill chuck or collet accepting a 0.1495-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with drill press or CNC machine operation. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet and verify runout before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 4.449 inches without retracting to clear chips. Always stop the spindle and isolate machine power before changing tooling or making chuck adjustments.
