The WALTER-TITEX 5062510 is an extra length high-speed steel drill bit designed for deep-hole and extended-reach drilling applications. Built to DIN 1869-I and ANSI standards, this bit carries a wire size 2 diameter of 0.2210 inches and features a 130-degree split point with web thinning for self-centering entry and reduced thrust. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, which is critical when working at depth. The bright, uncoated finish suits general-purpose use across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. At 8.0625 inches overall with a 5.5-inch flute length, this bit is built for jobs where standard-length drills fall short.
This drill bit is suited for production and maintenance machining on cast iron, carbon and alloy steel, non-ferrous metals, and select high-temp alloys including cobalt, nickel, and titanium alloys. Typical applications include blind hole drilling and stack drilling in both manual and CNC setups. The straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems. The Series A1622 designation places this within a proven Walter Titex product family engineered for deep-hole work at a flute-to-diameter ratio of 16xD.
Designed for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary suitability for cobalt, iron, nickel, and titanium alloys. Compatible with both blind hole and stack drilling operations per Series A1622 application specifications.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with cutting tool setup and machine operation. Always secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet and verify runout before drilling. Power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Follow applicable ANSI and shop safety codes when handling cutting tools and operating drilling equipment.
