The WALTER-TITEX 5062500 is a two-flute extra length drill bit designed for deep-hole drilling in production and maintenance environments. Built from M2 high speed steel with no coating, it measures 0.1935 inches in diameter and delivers an overall length of 7-11/16 inches, giving it a flute-to-diameter ratio of 16xD for reaching blind holes and stack drilling applications. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation at extended depths, and the web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust force at the point. A straight-cylindrical shank with a shank diameter of 0.1935 inches seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders.
This drill bit is suited for metalworking applications requiring extended reach beyond what a jobber-length bit can provide. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Secondary materials include cobalt, iron, nickel, and titanium alloys. The UFL point type and 130-degree drill point angle make it a practical choice for blind hole work and stack drilling on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces in machine shop, fabrication, and industrial maintenance settings. It conforms to ANSI, DIN 1869-I, and ISO standards.
The 5062500 is rated for primary workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metal, and steel, and secondary materials including cobalt, iron, nickel, and titanium alloy. It is designed for use with standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 0.1935-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with drill press, CNC, or manual mill operation. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against manufacturer cutting data for the target workpiece material before use. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped securely in the toolholder to prevent runout, which is especially critical at extended lengths. Never exceed the maximum drilling depth of 5.0000 inches as listed for this series.
