The WALTER-TITEX 5061933 is a taper length twist drill bit designed for precision hole-making in metalworking applications. Built from M2 high speed steel with a black oxide coating, this bit handles a broad range of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, and copper alloy. It measures 7.5 mm (0.2953 inches) in diameter with a 130-degree split point and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during drilling. The overall length is 6-9/64 inches with a 4-1/64-inch flute length, giving it the extended reach characteristic of taper length drills. It is installed and used by machinists, tool and die workers, and maintenance technicians.
This drill bit is suited for through-hole drilling, blind hole drilling, and stack drilling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Its parabolic flute design with web thinning reduces thrust and improves chip flow, making it well-suited for deeper holes where standard jobber-length bits fall short. The 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 3.543 inches support consistent performance in both manual and CNC machine tool setups. Parallel shank design allows direct chucking in standard drill chucks and collet holders without adapters.
Designed as a DIN 340 taper length drill bit compatible with standard parallel-shank drill chucks and collet systems used in manual drill presses, lathes, and CNC machining centers. Rated for use in aluminum, aluminum silicon alloy, brass, bronze, copper alloy, stainless steel, and steel.
This drill bit is installed by machinists and tool operators in drill press, lathe, or CNC machine tool spindles using a standard chuck or collet sized for a 7.5 mm shank. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the bit. Secure the shank fully within the chuck jaws or collet to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer to prevent runout. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material, particularly when drilling stainless steel or deep holes approaching the maximum drilling depth.
