The WALTER-TITEX 5061891 is a taper length twist drill bit engineered for high-performance metal drilling in professional machining and fabrication environments. Built from high speed steel (HSS) with a coated finish, it measures 0.1875 inches (3/16 inch) in diameter with a 130-degree split point and a parabolic flute design. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup and improving drilling speed in deeper holes. With an overall length of 5.1875 inches and a flute length of 3.4375 inches, this bit is suited for applications demanding greater reach than a jobber-length drill. Machinists, tool-and-die shops, and maintenance technicians working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals are the primary users.
This drill bit is rated for use in aluminum, aluminum silicon, brass, bronze, copper alloy, stainless steel, and steel. Its web-thinned, tapered web construction reduces thrust requirements at the point, making it well suited for blind hole drilling, through hole drilling, and stack drilling operations. The parallel shank with a 0.1880-inch shank diameter fits standard drill chucks without an adapter. The 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling depths up to 3.110 inches in a single pass, reducing the need for peck drilling cycles in many applications. This bit conforms to DIN 340 standards.
Rated for use in aluminum, aluminum silicon, brass, bronze, copper alloy, stainless steel, and steel. Suitable for blind hole, through hole, and stack drilling tool applications per Series A1522 specifications.
This drill bit is installed and operated by machinists and maintenance technicians using standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, or hand-held power drills with keyless or keyed chucks. Ensure the workpiece is properly secured before operation to prevent movement during drilling. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and bit diameter before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 3.110 inches without retracting and clearing chips.
