The WALTER-TITEX 5060612 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications. Built to Series A1247 standards, it features a 6.7 mm (0.2638 inch) diameter, a 130-degree split point, and a parabolic flute geometry that improves chip evacuation in deep-hole work. The oxide coating reduces friction and extends tool life in high-heat cutting conditions. With an overall length of 101 mm and a straight-cylindrical shank, it mounts in standard drill chucks and holders. This bit conforms to ANSI, ISO, BS, and DIN specifications, making it suitable for shops that hold close tolerances on finished hole dimensions. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance mechanics are the primary users.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, superalloys, and titanium. The parabolic flute with 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio and web-thinned, tapered web geometry supports both blind-hole drilling and stack drilling operations. It is a right-hand cut tool intended for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld power tools where controlled feed rates can be maintained. The h8 diameter tolerance on the shank ensures consistent seating and runout control.
Designed for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, superalloys, and titanium. Suitable for blind-hole and stack drilling applications in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.2638 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with machine tool operation. Secure the shank fully in a drill chuck or collet and verify runout before cutting. Set spindle speed and feed rate appropriate to workpiece material and bit diameter before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and replace the bit if the split point or flute margins show visible damage.
