The WALTER-TITEX 5060566 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance metal drilling in demanding trade and industrial applications. It features a 29/64 inch (0.4531 inch decimal) diameter with a 130-degree split point and a parabolic flute geometry. The oxide coating provides surface hardness and lubricity. With an overall length of 5-19/32 inches and a flute length of 3-11/16 inches, this bit handles blind hole and stack drilling operations. Licensed machinists, tool and die professionals, and maintenance mechanics rely on this type of tooling for consistent, accurate results in hard and abrasive materials.
This drill bit is engineered for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, superalloys, and titanium. The parabolic flute design improves chip evacuation in deep-hole applications, supporting a maximum drilling depth of 2.992 inches. The straight-cylindrical shank seats in standard drill chucks without adapters. It is suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld heavy-duty drilling equipment in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and manufacturing environments.
Designed as a high-performance replacement or upgrade for jobber length drill bits in Series A1247 applications. Suitable for use across cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces as indicated by workpiece material codes K, M, N, P, and S.
This bit is installed by machinists or maintenance technicians using standard drill chucks on CNC machines, drill presses, or industrial hand drills. Secure the straight shank fully in the chuck before operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant at the workpiece surface when drilling stainless steel, titanium, or superalloys to manage heat buildup. Inspect the cutting edge before each use and do not run a chipped or worn bit, as doing so accelerates wear and degrades hole tolerance.
