The WALTER-TITEX 5060562 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It measures 21/64 inches (0.3281 inches) in diameter with a 4-19/32 inch overall length and a parabolic flute design that promotes efficient chip evacuation. The 130-degree split point reduces walking and thrust at entry, making it well suited for production environments where precision and tool life matter. An oxide coating provides additional surface hardness and lubricity. This bit is designed for use by machinists, maintenance technicians, and metalworking professionals who require consistent results in tough workpiece materials.
The 5060562 is built for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steels, superalloys, and titanium. Its parabolic flute geometry with an 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports both blind hole and stack drilling applications. The straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks without adapters. This bit is appropriate for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld power tools used in industrial and maintenance settings where hard or abrasive workpiece materials are common.
The 5060562 is designed for use in applications involving cast iron, non-ferrous metal, stainless steel, steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces, corresponding to material codes K, M, N, P, and S. It is suited for blind hole and stack drilling operations. Coolant-through capability is not supported by this bit.
A licensed machinist or qualified metalworking technician should install and operate this bit in accordance with applicable workplace safety standards. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a compatible drill chuck before operation and verify that chuck runout is within acceptable tolerance to protect the h8 shank diameter tolerance. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing bits. Do not exceed the recommended drilling depth of 2.441 inches to avoid bit deflection or breakage.
