The WALTER-TITEX 5060522 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built to Series A1247 specifications, it measures 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch decimal) in diameter with a 2-9/16 inch overall length and a straight-cylindrical shank. The 130-degree split point reduces walking and thrust force at entry, while the parabolic flute geometry promotes aggressive chip evacuation. An oxide coating enhances lubricity and surface hardness. This bit is sized and constructed for use by machinists, pipefitters, and HVAC or plumbing fabricators who regularly cut through tough ferrous and non-ferrous stock.
Designed for blind hole drilling and stack drilling applications, this bit performs in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon steel, superalloys, and titanium. The parabolic flute, rated at an 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio, supports deeper cuts with reduced chip packing. A web-thinned, tapered web configuration lowers cutting resistance in hard materials. This bit suits production environments and field fabrication shops where tool life and hole quality in difficult alloys are priorities. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 5 units.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metal, stainless steel, steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces per Series A1247 application guidelines.
Install and removal should be performed by a qualified machinist or tradesperson with the drilling equipment fully de-energized and secured. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the chuck is properly tightened before operation. Maximum drilling depth is 1.181 inches (30.00 mm); do not exceed this depth to avoid flute packing or bit breakage. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit, so apply cutting fluid externally as required by the workpiece material.
