The WALTER-TITEX 5060455 is a jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding trade and industrial applications. Built from cobalt with an oxide coating, this bit handles hard and abrasive materials that push standard high-speed steel beyond its limits. It carries a wire gauge size of 15, equal to 0.1800 inches in decimal, and measures 3-5/32 inches overall length. The 130-degree split point and parabolic flute geometry promote fast chip evacuation and self-centering entry. This bit is sold individually and suits machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabricators working with tight tolerances and difficult-to-machine alloys.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, superalloys, and titanium. The Series A1247 design supports blind hole drilling and stack drilling operations. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 8xD and a maximum drilling depth of 1.535 inches, it suits controlled-depth applications in both production and field repair environments. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without adapters. The parabolic flute profile reduces heat buildup and chip packing, making this bit appropriate for longer run cycles and harder substrates.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 0.1800-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metal, stainless steel, steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces per primary workpiece material codes K, M, N, P, and S.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using a standard keyed or keyless drill chuck. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and verify chuck tightness. Disconnect power from the machine before changing bits. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit, so apply cutting fluid externally when drilling stainless steel, superalloys, or titanium to manage heat and extend tool life.
