The WALTER-TITEX 5059374 is a jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size 32 (0.1160 inches decimal) built for high-performance drilling in production and maintenance environments. Manufactured from high speed steel with an oxide coating, it features a parabolic flute design and a 130-degree split point that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks without slippage. With an 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio and web-thinned, tapered web construction, this bit handles demanding applications that standard jobber bits struggle with. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians are the primary users.
This bit is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. It is suited for blind hole drilling and stack drilling operations. The 130-degree point angle and parabolic flute geometry promote self-centering entry and fast chip removal, making it a practical choice for repetitive drilling cycles on the shop floor or in the field. It does not support coolant-through delivery, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is recommended when drilling ferrous materials at higher speeds.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 0.1160-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for primary workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Belongs to Walter-Titex Series A1222.
This bit is installed by machinists and maintenance technicians in drill presses, CNC machines, or hand-held power drills with compatible chuck capacity. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance. Since coolant-through is not supported, apply cutting fluid externally when drilling ferrous materials to manage heat buildup. Inspect the cutting edges for wear regularly, as small-diameter bits are susceptible to breakage under side load or excessive feed pressure.
