The WALTER SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES 53F002 is a water-based anti-spatter spray designed to prevent weld spatter from adhering to base metals, nozzles, and work surfaces during MIG and flux-core welding operations. Supplied in a 16.9 oz aerosol can, it delivers a milky green, water-based formula that is safer to handle than solvent-based alternatives and produces minimal fumes in the welding environment. Welding professionals and fabricators apply it before striking an arc to reduce post-weld cleanup time and extend consumable life. The 16.9 oz fill provides enough coverage for sustained production work at a welding station or in the field.
This anti-spatter is suited for use in metal fabrication shops, structural steel operations, pipe welding, and maintenance welding environments. It is applied directly to the weld area, welding nozzle, or adjacent surfaces prior to welding. The water-based formula makes it appropriate for indoor environments where solvent fumes and fire hazard from aerosol propellants are a concern. Fabricators and welding technicians working on carbon steel, stainless steel, and similar ferrous materials will find it useful as a standard part of pre-weld preparation.
Designed for use as a pre-weld anti-spatter treatment in MIG, flux-core, and similar wire-feed welding processes on ferrous and comparable base metals.
Applied by welding technicians as part of pre-weld surface preparation. Shake the can before use and apply a light, even coat to the target surfaces. Allow a brief dwell before initiating the weld arc. Store away from heat sources and open flames as the aerosol can is pressurized.
