The WALTER SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES 15Q454 is a Type 27 flap disc engineered for aggressive material removal on stainless steel surfaces. Part of the Enduro-Flex Stainless series, it features a 40-grit zirconia alumina abrasive bonded to a wood fiber backing with a plastic hub, running at a maximum of 13,300 RPM. The 4.5-inch diameter disc mounts via a 7/8-inch arbor hole and is rated coarse grade for rapid stock removal. Fabricators, welders, and metal finishing tradespeople use this disc for blending welds, removing scale, and surface preparation on stainless steel workpieces.

This disc is designed for use on stainless steel applications where contamination-free grinding is required. The Enduro-Flex Stainless series designation indicates the abrasive compound is formulated to avoid iron, sulfur, and chlorine contamination that can compromise stainless steel corrosion resistance. The Type 27 flat profile suits flat and inside-radius grinding passes. The trimmable backing allows the operator to expose fresh abrasive material as the disc wears, extending usable disc life in production or field environments.

Installation Notes
