The WALTER SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES 10Q143 is a Type 1 (01/41) flat cut-off wheel engineered for aggressive cutting on chop saws and similar stationary abrasive cutting equipment. Built from aluminum oxide abrasive with a resinoid bond and reinforced construction, this 30-grit wheel delivers fast, consistent cuts through ferrous metals and structural stock. It measures 14 inches in diameter and 3/32 inches thick with a 1-inch arbor hole, and it is rated to a maximum of 4,400 RPM. The black resinoid-bonded matrix resists heat buildup during extended use, helping maintain cut quality across repeated passes.
This wheel is designed for use with chop saws in industrial, fabrication, and trade-shop environments. Typical applications include cutting rebar, angle iron, pipe, and structural steel in commercial construction, metal fabrication shops, and mechanical contracting settings. The 14-inch diameter and 30-grit rating make it suited for high-material-removal cuts where surface finish is secondary to throughput speed. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use with chop saws accepting a 14-inch diameter, Type 1 cut-off wheel with a 1-inch arbor hole and a maximum spindle speed at or above 4,400 RPM. Verify that the saw's rated spindle speed does not exceed the wheel's 4,400 RPM maximum before mounting.
Cut-off wheels must be mounted and changed by qualified personnel familiar with ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels. Always power down and de-energize the chop saw and allow the spindle to come to a full stop before removing or installing a wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks, chips, or damage before each use and never operate a damaged or deformed wheel. Confirm the arbor hole, flange size, and machine RPM rating are compatible before mounting.
