The WALTER SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES 06A462 is a ceramic-abrasive flap disc engineered for aggressive material removal and blending on metal surfaces. Part of the Enduro-Flex Turbo series, this Type 27 disc measures 4-1/2 inches in diameter with a 7/8-inch arbor hole and carries dual-grit designation of 36 and 60, making it a multi-grade option for combined stock removal and finishing in a single tool. The plastic backing supports the coated ceramic flap construction and is rated to a maximum of 13,300 RPM. Designed for use on angle grinders, this disc is suitable for licensed tradespeople and experienced fabricators working with steel and stainless steel.
The 06A462 is intended for use on angle grinders in industrial and fabrication environments where both cutting and blending operations are required on steel or stainless steel workpieces. The multi-grade ceramic abrasive allows a technician to transition between aggressive grinding and surface conditioning without swapping discs. It is well-suited for weld preparation, weld blending, deburring, and surface conditioning tasks in manufacturing, structural steel, pipefitting, and general metalworking applications. The orange disc color corresponds to the Enduro-Flex Turbo series designation within the WALTER SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES product line.
Designed for use with angle grinders accepting a 7/8-inch arbor and 4-1/2-inch disc diameter. Rated for material applications on stainless steel and steel.
This disc is installed and operated by qualified tradespeople or fabricators familiar with angle grinder safety. Before mounting, confirm the angle grinder spindle speed does not exceed the 13,300 RPM disc rating and that the arbor size matches the 7/8-inch center hole. Always power down and disconnect the grinder before mounting or removing the disc. Wear appropriate PPE including a face shield, gloves, and hearing protection during operation, and follow applicable ANSI B7.1 safety standards for abrasive wheel use.
