The WALTER-PROTOTYP 7320129 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding material removal in both roughing and finishing operations. Built on the MD133 series platform, it features a 3/4-inch diameter, a 4-inch length of cut, and a 0.03-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge. The AlTiN (TiAlN) PVD coating provides high heat resistance and oxidation resistance, making this tool effective in dry and semi-dry cutting environments. Six right-hand helical flutes with a close pitch and medium helix angle support chip evacuation while maintaining surface finish quality. A chipbreaker geometry is integrated into the flute profile.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium in CNC machining centers. The extended reach design and 4.468-inch reach length make it appropriate for deep-pocket and cavity work where standard-length tools cannot access the full feature depth. It mounts in a standard straight-cylindrical toolholder with a 3/4-inch shank. Single-end configuration. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and general production milling where corner radius geometry is required to prevent sharp-corner stress risers.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 3/4-inch shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium workpieces.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of debris before mounting. Secure the shank to the specified toolholder torque per the toolholder manufacturer guidelines. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping before beginning a cut, particularly given the extended reach length of this tool.
