The WALTER-PROTOTYP 5082195 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.1024-inch cutting diameter, a 0.1181-inch length of cut, and a 3-flute configuration, this tool delivers clean, accurate material removal in tight-tolerance work. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. It features a straight cylindrical shank at 0.1181 inches in diameter, making it compatible with standard collet toolholding systems. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and is finished bright and uncoated. It is well suited for machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators working at small diameters.
This end mill is intended for small-diameter milling operations in precision machining environments, including mold making, die work, and intricate profiling on CNC machining centers or manual mills. The regular length designation and compact geometry make it appropriate for slots, pockets, and contour work where tool reach is limited and dimensional accuracy is critical. Material grade A1007 indicates suitability for a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. It is sold individually and is positioned as a direct replacement or stocked consumable for production and prototype machining shops.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard collet toolholding systems on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines that accept a 0.1181-inch straight cylindrical shank.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the collet holder. Verify collet bore size matches the 0.1181-inch shank diameter before clamping. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and follow machine manufacturer torque specifications when tightening the collet nut.
